One of the most common wedding mistakes that seems to happen time after time is the lack of preparation time needed to go into the wedding day. This one-factor can and in many cases will destroy the wedding timeline. Before creating your timeline, it is important to speak with your vendors to get an estimated amount of time each vendor will need to set up and do their job. If you do not allow enough time and one key person arrives a little late the entire day will be off schedule.
Often times the entire wedding day will pass and at the end of the day, the couple will realize there were family and guests they never spoke to or stopped to take a photograph with. This is another one of the most common wedding mistakes brides typically make. Understand family and guests travel great distances so it is important to acknowledge them the day of the wedding. If you do not tell the photographer who these people are, it is easy for them to go unphotographed.
Eating is essential. More than any other time the wedding day is the most crucial day for eating. Time will feel like it is passing at an accelerated rate and before you know it you will feel exhausted. Feeling exhausted can easily be seen in the wedding photographs. Take a moment to eat, drink, and rest periodically. We recommend Shyndigz if you are local to Richmond VA
Over 50% of brides do not express what they want to their photographers even after being asked. This leads to unmet expectations and depression later down the road. Telling your photographer about your dream wedding poses or small wedding details keeps them on the radar. It is never good to be silent to the photographer on the day of the wedding. The best thing to do is provide a digital dream board at least a month prior to the wedding day. Once the two of you are on the same page, it is smooth sailing.
